The Vermin...

Edward Whelan, later known as Vermin, was a geneticist for Oscorp Industries.
The Vermin was created entirely by accident, and with the noblest intentions.

Filling the role of professional confidant to Curt Connors since the abrupt departure of Richard Parker, Oscorp-geneticist Edward Whelan kept a watchful eye on his colleague's cross-species research. Whelan's initial wonder and amazement gradually matured to doubt and even fear, as he pondered the possible horrific potential of Connors' discoveries.

Soon enough, Whelan’s fears came to life in the form of the Lizard – and Whelan took it upon himself to find a cure to save his friend. Sequestered in his office for days, Whelan didn’t sleep for more than ninety hours, choosing not to rest until he had produced what he believed to be an antidote (which itself included the DNA of the only human around – himself). Wanting to know for sure that the antidote was safe to organic beings, Whelan injected it into a lab rat – then collapsed in his office out of sheer exhaustion. Sadly, pure mental fatigue caused Whelan’s calculations and measurements to be wrong.

As Whelan slept the deepest sleep of his life, the injected lab rat began to grow in size. Within an hour, it was the size of a human, even adopting a newly instinctive bipedal mode of locomotion. And it was hungry. Nearby, the humanoid rat took a bite out of the closest food available – Edward Whelan.

Whelan screamed loudly, now very much awake and in great pain. “You Vermin!” The ruckus summoned Oscorp security, who subdued the beast and quarantined it.

It was in the hospital, as his body began to change, that Whelan realized his greatest error. Fur surfaced from his pours. Claws emerged from his fingers. He was becoming a rat-like monstrosity himself. As his brain faded to mush, shortly before his instincts led him to a new home in the sewers, he recognized his mistake: “I didn’t create an antidote… I created a virus…”.

When Peter Parker snuck into Oscorp, with the help of Gwen Stacy, Vermin very quickly detected his radioactive blood, and took a particular disliking to him. When Scorpion broke out, he freed Vermin and the other cross-species mutations. Right from the start, Vermin became one of the biggest causes of an infection, which would spread throughout New York. He attacked Gwen Stacy and bit her, infecting her, which only fueled Peter's quest for a cure.

Spider-Man later chased Vermin through a sewer, in an attempt to deliver a DNA sample to Connors. The Vermin escaped from the first battle when a group of S-Bots interfered. Spider-Man tracked him down again, this time not only getting a sample, but defeating him for good.

While visiting the home of Kraven the Hunter Peter is shown a room full of his latest trophies. These trophies turn out to be Scorpion, Iguana and Nattie; cross-species Peter had battled before. Vermin and Rhino however are the only cross-species not shown to be stuffed and mounted in Kraven's trophy room. Where they could be after surviving Kraven's hunt is unknown but they might have survived because they were humans injected with animal serum.

The Iguana...

Iguana, known to Dr. Connors as "Iggy", is a villain that is featured in the video game, The Amazing Spider-Man.

Of all the cross-species to come out of Oscorp, only Iguana was never claimed as a creation of any of the company's scientists. That's because its true creator, Curt Connors himself, had no idea that one of his own former experiments would evolve into the fearsome Iguana.

Connors' go-to lab animal, an iguana he referred to as “Iggy", had weathered so many odd experiments over the past few months, it was a wonder the small reptile was still alive. Somewhere along the way, Connors had injected Iggy with a formula that appeared to have no effect at all. And it didn't – at least not in and of itself. What this particular injection did manage, however, was to serve as a catalyst that slowly warped and mutated intended effects of other experimentation upon the animal for months to come.

Shortly after Connors became the Lizard, all of his lab animals were temporarily set free to roam in the tank that would eventually house another cross-species named Vermin. Then, days later, Iguana revealed himself in all his seven-foot glory. No one had remembered placing an iguana of any size in the tank, much less one larger than most human beings.

As it turns out, after gestating for months, all of the strange science going on inside Iggy’s body had come to a head in the course of a couple hours, morphing him into the remarkable being terrorizing Manhattan today.

Breakout
When Peter Parker snuck into Oscorp with Gwen Stacy, Iguana was unconscious in a Containment Unit. When Scorpion detected Peter's radioactive blood and broke out with the other cross-species, Iguana escaped.

Iguana was spotted in Central Park by a few news teams, where he was initially mistaken for his creator, Doctor Connors, in his Lizard persona. Spider Man arrived on scene to contain Iguana, but he was quickly scared off by the first in the Spider Slayer Series. Due to the S-Bot's massive size, Spider Man couldn't give chase.

Almost a week later, Spider-Man went to rescue Henry Harper, the district attorney who had been kidnapped by a small gang and taken into the sewers. Upon arriving, Spider-Man encountered Iguana, who had been hiding in the sewers during the cross-species incident. He was quickly defeated, and Henry Harper was rescued safely.

Did you think I'd forgotten about these villains? lol. Of course not. In fact, I've been thinking about releasing them.

Here's a pack containing two villains from the TASM video game, also known as "The Amazing Spider-Man." It's unknown if these were actually in the movie scripts, but I'm glad they revived villains from those old comics. Perhaps many are right when they say "this Spidey" looks like the comics. Maybe they weren't exaggerating after all. Anyway, here are these mutants, or failed lab experiments! Use these beasts and spread chaos in San Andreas! Your friend MassterGolden900... signing off. See you later and enjoy!
