Kratos is the main protagonist and anti-hero of the God of War series and is a playable character in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. He was one of the first six characters to be revealed. Kratos' in-game rival is Sweet Tooth.

Once the leader of the mighty Spartan army, Kratos has wrenched his fate free from the gods who used him as their servant, swearing to see their reign ended. Known for a brutal approach to combat, he will let nothing stand between him and his quest to find and destroy whomever has gathered the combatants in Battle Royale.

Opening

Kratos' story opens as he is preparing to attack Olympus. He seeks assistance from the Titans but requires a challenge to earn his place as their leader. He hears about a gathering of heroes and other warriors coming together through that power of one who considers himself a god. In order to prove himself worthy to lead the Titans, he sets off to find this gathering and take down all who stand in his way.

"This entire city, destroyed by a god driven mad by jealousy, envy of his own son. Even now, they sit on their crumbling thrones and presume to judge their former puppet. While below, the titans I have summoned await me... ready to march on Olympus and correct so many of the mistakes of the past. But if I am to lead an army as mighty as the Titans, I must prove my worth. There remain those who call themselves heroes. There is even talk of one who considers himself a god, issuing challenges to all who would answer. Heed my words, mortals: tread lightly on the earth. Beware the Ghost of Sparta!"

Ending
After defeating the warriors and Polygon Man, Kratos returns to his world and gains leadership of the Titans. As he scales Olympus, he claims he is bringing an army the likes of which the gods have never seen and with his new power, prepares to kill them all.

"Once again, those foolish enough to stand against me have learned the folly of such actions. My destiny lies not with mortals. I must topple Olympus and all who occupy it once and for all. Titans! The son of Zeus has returned! Our hour is at hand, and we march now upon the gods. No creature sent from earth, Olympus or Hades itself can withstand our assault. And to Zeus and the cretins who kneel at his feet: I bring an army unlike any you have fought before. The Ghost of Sparta brings ruin to Olympus!"

Kratos was one of the many first-party characters to make a live-action appearance in the Long Live Play commercial. However, he was rendered by CGI instead of being given a live-action actor.
Kratos is also one of four first-party characters to appear in the live-action trailer for PlayStation All-Stars, alongside Nathan Drake, Cole MacGrath, and Sackboy. He still appears to be a CGI-render.
Kratos is also the first playable character to appear from God of War, the second being Zeus.
Kratos is considered to be a mascot of the PS3 console, alongside Sackboy and Nathan Drake.
Hades, Kratos' stage, is the only stage revealed at the same time he was. All the other stages at the time (Metropolis, Dreamscape, and Sandover Village) were revealed before their respective characters.
Kratos is the last character to be shown in the game's opening.
His quote "You.. will not see the end of this day!" is taken from the beginning of God of War III. It's also used for his intro in Mortal Kombat (2011).

Zeus is one of the main characters in the God of War Series. He appears as a supporting protagonist in the first God of War, but later becomes the main antagonist in both God of War II and God of War III. Zeus also appears in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale as a DLC playable character. Zeus' in-game rival is Isaac Clarke.

Opening

The story begins with Zeus on top of Mount Olympus, observing turmoil caused by "souls from across the universe", including his own son, Kratos, coming together to combat each other. He thinks that the mortals are all in service of a "self-proclaimed god, an imposter who lays claim to the very creation of all." In spite of his policy of Olympus and the gods being forbidden from interfering with mortal affairs, Zeus makes an exception to this when he reconsiders what Kratos has done and the potential consequences of "those not born of Olympus" attaining too much power. Seeing the assembled mortals as a threat, Zeus transforms into his eagle form, and flies down the mountain to stop this madness.

"There is trouble in Olympus, and great turmoil in the mortal world. Souls from across the universe amass to do battle, including my own son. All in service of a self-proclaimed god, an imposter who lays claim to the very creation of all. I have forbidden the gods from interfering in the affairs of mortals. Olympus must remain removed from the clamor below. But Kratos has shown what can happen when those not born of Olympus attain too much power. I will put a stop to this madness. And to anyone who dares stand in my way."

Ending

Satisfied with his work, Zeus returns to Olympus, having reminded the mortals of their place and defeating Polygon Man. But he is well aware that Kratos will be coming for him for revenge. But as he sits on his throne, pondering what to do next, the King of the Gods glows with power, knowing Kratos will have a challenge dethroning him.

"It had been too long since I've been back to Olympus. I have restored order on earth, where before there was only chaos. To do so, the most unruly of mortals had to be reminded of their place, and the so-called god stripped of his pretense. The threat posed by Kratos is real. It must be dealt with decisively. He must be made aware of the power that the Gods of Olympus possess. And if he thought he would simply stride into Olympus... ...he will soon enough see what a mistake that is."

Zeus and Isaac are the last DLC characters to be released.
And they are the last two characters to obtain a third costume.
Zeus is one of three characters to break the fourth wall in their intro or outro's, the others being Kratos and Jak and Daxter.
He is also the only character in the game with a winning outro where he attacks the cameraman.
Like Kratos, his arcade story is a prequel to God of War III.

At the beginning of Zeus' trailer, the intro he uses is Witness My Power, which is unlockable, as opposed to Descent From Olympus, his default intro. Here are Kratos, Zeus, and Deimoss from PSASBR (PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale). Some call it Sony's Smash, a Smash copy, etc. I won't get into those debates, but I can say that the Smash Bros. franchise far surpasses PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Anyway, I have a lot to say about this franchise. For example, the theory that Kratos was kidnapped from the Soul Calibur/Mortal Kombat universe to the PSASBR universe. I have a theory that Kratos was kidnapped to those universes before or after God of War 2 and God of War 3. But as I said, "they're just theories." Anyway, enjoy these two.
