Descripción

[WIP] Tanque Argentino Mediano TAM 2C For Gta San Andreas.    Features:
  • Wedge Shape: The front of the hull features a prominent, steeply sloped glacis plate that creates a wedge-like profile. This design is intended to maximize protection by deflecting incoming rounds and increasing the effective armor thickness relative to its physical depth.
  • Low Silhouette: In common with other TAM models, the 2C variant maintains a relatively low silhouette for a tank of its class, which makes it a more challenging target to spot and hit.
Front Hull Details (The Glacis Plate)
  • Armor Slope: The angle of the upper front armor is extremely shallow, running from near ground level up to the turret base.
  • Driver’s Compartment: The driver is seated on the left side of the front hull. The driver's hatch is visible, featuring a series of rectangular periscopes (three forward-facing) integrated into the sloped plating just in front of the turret.
  • Engine Grille: To the driver's right (on the right-hand side of the glacis), a large, textured engine intake/exhaust ventilation grille is visible. This placement for the engine in the front is common for light/medium tank designs derived from infantry fighting vehicle chassis.
  • Lighting: There are two separate forward lighting systems mounted at the outer, lower corners of the front hull. These look like standard headlights, but the outer round lamps may be black-out driving lights.
Lower Hull and Suspension
  • V-Shaped Lower Hull: The bottom section of the hull tapers inwards, a common design feature for armor to provide better mine blast protection.
  • Track Skirts: The rendering clearly shows non-removable, heavy-gauge steel side skirts (often referred to as "schürzen") that run the entire length of the tracks. These provide protection for the road wheels and upper tracks against anti-tank rockets and shaped charges.
  • Suspension and Road Wheels: This view shows the tank features six large, dual road wheels on torsion bar suspension per side. Only the forward-most wheels are clearly visible. A portion of the return roller and the rear-mounted sprocket wheel (which drives the tracks) are also visible. The tracks are steel.
  • Side Markings: A small Argentine flag roundel is visible on the side of the hull near the turret.
Upper Hull / Turret Ring
  • Turret Interface: The large, circular turret ring is centered on the hull top, with the turret itself positioned slightly to the rear, a direct result of placing the engine in the front.
  • Rear Hull: The side skirts extend to the rear, and the hull sides rise up sharply, suggesting a rear-mounted transmission or fuel storage.
In summary, the body features of the TAM 2C, as seen here, confirm its heritage from the German Marder IFV, with its front-mounted engine, rear-mounted transmission, and distinctive wedged glacis plate, but fortified with heavy tank-like side skirts and a modern, sloped-armor turret design.
